At Lake Forest Smiles, caring for people goes beyond providing exceptional dentistry—it’s about making a meaningful difference in the community we call home. Our team believes that a healthy smile can change lives, and we’re proud to share our time, resources, and expertise to help support individuals and families throughout Lake Forest and the surrounding communities.
We love having the opportunity to take our passion for people outside of the office and into the community. Our team regularly volunteers with, sponsors, and participates in community events and charitable organizations whenever possible. Over the years, we’ve partnered with the Chicago Bears Care Foundation to help support breast cancer research and awareness, and we proudly support Fill a Heart 4 Kids, an organization dedicated to helping children in at-risk populations by providing essential support, dignity, and opportunities for a better future.
You’ll also find our team participating in events such as the Red Nose Day Challenge, the annual Stroke Walk, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Walk, and many other local initiatives that bring people together for important causes.
Community Care Day
One of the ways we give back each year is through our Community Care Day. For this annual event, our team donates our time and dental services to restore a smile for someone in need within our community.
For individuals who may not have the resources to receive the care they need, these cases can be life-changing. By providing restorative treatment at no cost, we’re able to help someone regain their confidence, improve their oral health, and experience the life-changing power of a healthy smile.
Annual Coat Drive
When the colder months arrive in Illinois, we believe everyone deserves to stay warm. That’s why our office hosts a yearly coat drive to collect gently used and new coats for local families in need.
Patients and community members are invited to donate coats throughout the season, and together we help ensure that children and adults in our area have the warmth they need during the winter months.
Free Fluoride for Kids – National Children’s Dental Health Month
Each February, in honor of National Children’s Dental Health Month, we offer free fluoride treatments for kids. This annual promotion is our way of encouraging families to prioritize preventive dental care and helping children build strong, healthy smiles from an early age.
Fluoride treatments help strengthen developing enamel and protect teeth from cavities—making this small step an important part of keeping young smiles healthy.
Free Oral Cancer Screenings
Early detection can save lives. During Oral Cancer Awareness Month each April, we provide free oral cancer screenings for patients and members of the community.
Using advanced technology like the VELscope, our team can identify abnormal tissue that may not be visible during a traditional exam. These quick, painless screenings are an important step in detecting potential concerns early and helping protect your long-term health.
