AIDA, RDH, OMT, BBPI

Aida has been part of Lake Forest Smiles, an airway focused, physiologic based dental office since 2001. Aida graduated Dental Hygiene School in 2001 at the top of her class and is a recipient of the prestigious Golden Scaler award. Aida also graduated Nursing School in 1989 in her native Bosnia and Hercegovina.

After graduating Dental Hygiene school, Aida studied extensively with The Breathe Institute, AOMT, LVI, IAOM in the field of Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders and Therapy since 2008. Aida is also certified in Buteyko Breathing Techniques and Dental Sleep Medicine for RDH.  Aida is a TBI ambassador, Affiliate, and graduate of the prestigious TBI MYO masterminds program.

Aida’s passion to help patients be pain free and as healthy as possible drives her to explore the newest technologies and techniques while also learning about cutting edge research and recommendations in the field of physiologic dentistry, TMJD, OMD and airway health.

Aida established a Myofunctional Department in 2015 and has successfully treated many patients of all ages, starting with newborn babies. Aida is currently Director Of Operations at Lake Forest Smiles. In the last few years, Aida has been speaking nationally on the importance of recognizing Myofunctional Disorders and Implementation of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy in dental offices. In addition, Aida is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association, the American Academy of Physiologic Medicine and Dentistry, the American Laser Study Club, and the Tongue Tie Professionals Club.

In her spare time, Aida enjoys nature, cooking, traveling and exploring different cultures with her family.

CASSIE, FRONT DESK ADMINISTRATOR

Hi, my name is Cassie. I have been working with Lake Forest Smiles since 2004. I love working where my co-workers are my family. I feel lucky to continue learning new things and using new technology to provide better care for our patients.

I live in Wisconsin but still root for the Bears. In my free time, I enjoy being with my husband and our daughters!  We love exploring the outdoors and going to concerts. I look forward to seeing you soon!

JULIE, FRONT DESK ADMINISTRATOR, DIRECTOR OF MYOFUNCTIONAL THERAPY

My name is Julie. I’ve been with Lake Forest Smiles since 1992. In 2000, I took a 20-year leave! I came back in 2020 to rejoin this amazing team. 

I have worked as an office manager, surgical assistant, and treatment & implant coordinator while in the dental office. I also spent 13 years on the software side of dentistry teaching dental practices how to use technology and software. 

My passion is taking care of people, which is why I love working at Lake Forest Smiles. I recently became the Director of Myofunctional Therapy. I love taking care of everyone, from babies a few days old to our elderly patients at 101 years old!

When I’m not at work, my heart is with my family.  There is nothing better than spending time with our adult children, their spouses, our grandkids, my sister and her family, and our grandpups!  I love weight training and riding my Peloton.  

When you come in you are most likely to see me in the front office. I look forward to meeting you and hope to help make your visit at Lake Forest Smiles great!

JILL, RDH

Hi my name is Jill Ostrowski. I have had the pleasure of working at Lake Forest Smiles for almost 30 years. 

Over the years, it has been amazing to be a part of an office that allows our team to learn and train to be the best professionals we can to help our patients achieve the best dentistry possible. 

I absolutely love getting to know my patients and have relationships with them. I love being able to share our new technology with our patients so they know they are always getting the best care available. 

LFS is a unique team because we are a true family. We work together and we respect one another. We are here to support one another to help everyone grow. Our patients recognize this in our team at LFS! I look forward to meeting you!!

GAYLE, REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST, OROFACIAL MYOFUNCTIONAL THERAPIST

Hi, my name is Gayle. I graduated from the College of Lake County Hygiene School in 2005 and have been working at Lake Forest Smiles ever since. I am truly blessed to be working with a great team and providing my patients with the highest quality care!

In my free time, I love being with my family, enjoying the outdoors as well as attending sporting and music events. I look forward to seeing you soon!

Shannon

Hi, my name is Shannon. I completed my Bachelor’s degree at the SIU Carbondale Dental Hygiene School in 2013. I have been working for Lake Forest Smiles since 2016. My dental passion is seeing my patients get healthy utilizing the latest techniques and technologies in gum therapy and nutrition. I am excited to be able to give my patients the best care possible. I got married in 2019 and in my free time I love to read, cook, and spend time with my family and friends.

ELIZABETH, RDH, PHDH

Hi, my name is Elizabeth. I have had the pleasure of working at Lake Forest Smiles since 2004. I enjoy being an integral part of restoring and maintaining my patients’ dental health by utilizing the latest technology and my caring touch. I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from Marquette University in 2000. Early on in my career, I used my passion for teaching and helped establish CLC’s dental hygiene program. I am a Certified Public Health Dental Hygienist. In the spring of 2022, I am proud to have extended our patient care outside of our office to our elderly community at Lake Forest Place.

I am married and have two younger children. We like going on adventures and traveling. I absolutely love being a mom! I have enjoyed incorporating Children’s Dental Health Presentations into the school systems over the past eight years. In addition, when I have time, I like taking nature walks, gardening, reading, and playing the piano.

ANGIE, RDH

My name is Angie. I graduated from College of Lake County in 2016 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. I joined Lake Forest Smiles in 2023. I am fortunate to have found such an amazing team to be part of. I enjoy learning and growing to be able to give my patients the best care. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two beautiful kids, and we enjoy being outdoors and traveling. I look forward to getting to know each and every one of my patients and being part of your smile journey.

JENNY, RDH

Hi, my name is Jenny, and I’m a Registered Dental Hygienist. I graduated in 2016 and received my Dental Hygiene Degree. 

I’ve been in dentistry since 2012. I have a passion for helping patients with their dental goals using the latest technology and education.

In my free time I enjoy spending my time with my daughter. Going to the beach, taking walks, and listening to music. I love helping my patients maintain healthy smiles!!

KELLY, RDH

Kelly has been a practicing hygienist for 22 years and in the dental field for 31 years. At 17 years old, in her first dental office, it was instantly apparent to her that the dental field was where her heart was at. Serving patients, caring for families, and providing high quality care is something she takes great pride in. She has been an active member of her professional organizations and is always looking for new technology, products and innovative ways to serve her patients. It is her great pleasure to join the team at Lake Forest Smiles and provide care to those in need at Lake Forest Place, a skilled nursing home for patients who are unable to travel into a traditional dental setting.
