Education for Airway, Myofunctional, and Whole-Body Health
Collaborative care is at the heart of everything we do at Lake Forest Smiles. The Study Club was created to bring together a network of dedicated professionals who share a passion for airway health, myofunctional therapy, lactation support, and whole-body wellness. This group includes specialists across many fields who support oral and systemic health in children and adults.
We get together every other month from 6:30-8:30pm at our office location (825 S Waukegan Rd, Lake Forest, IL) to learn, share cases, discuss treatment approaches, and strengthen the connections that ultimately benefit the patients we serve.

What the Study Club is About
Our Study Club explores body-related issues that influence breathing, feeding, posture, growth, and development. Each meeting features a guest speaker presenting on topics related to airway management, myofunctional therapy, tethered oral tissues, and overall oral–body health.
Sessions include:
- Featured presentations from leaders in airway and myofunctional therapy
- Case sharing and open discussion
- Q&A sessions with speakers and fellow participants
- Opportunities to meet collaborators from a wide range of specialties
Our goal is simple: to elevate care through education and collaborative insight. Every meeting is an opportunity to grow our understanding and strengthen the circle of involved providers.
Accredited Continuing Education
The Study Club is an accredited course and currently offers 1 CE credit per session. Members can participate in person or join virtually, making it easy to learn and engage from anywhere. CE recognition ensures that participants not only network and collaborate but also continue advancing professionally in their respective fields.

Why Collaborative Care Matters
We believe that patients achieve the best outcomes when healthcare providers work together. Many patients—especially those with tongue ties, airway issues, and developmental challenges—benefit from multiple modalities of treatment. By forming strong professional connections and sharing expertise, we can help families receive the most comprehensive, effective care possible.
